American McGee is best known for his twisted tale Alice. His spin on the classic story was an imperfect game, yet was creative and enjoyable enough to be more than worth playing. Since then, McGee hasn’t made a game nearly as good as Alice. I was thinking this game would be a return to form for him, but...it’s a little too happy looking for my tastes. Hopefully the game itself will be more fun to play than his latest releases. I’ll definitely give this GameTap exclusive a shot when it comes out. It may be released in other forms after a period of exclusivity but nothing has been announced yet.

It broke my heart the first time I saw that. I figured it’d look more like Alice but with better graphics (I read somewhere it was on UE3, but if that’s it on the vid then it’s quite the waste of a good engine). Alice was a true work of art when it came to visual design. But this? Looks like it’s gonna be another Bad Day L.A. Great concept but crap game.
Please, American, prove me wrong.

I agree, if that’s on the Unreal Engine then they wasted their money when they could have gotten a much cheaper engine and had the same graphics…
I was also imagining this game as being Alice with better graphics...I want to be excited but it’s hard.
This looks very mediocre. Definitely not my type of game. I did enjoy American McGee’s Alice when I picked it up for $10 on the PC half a decade ago.
