Here’s the trailer for Uwe’s latest classic.  I haven’t had a chance to watch the trailer yet, but if it’s anything like any other movie he has ever made your eyes will be bleeding before the clip is over.  Far Cry was a great game but I doubt it would have been a compelling movie even in the right hands, though I’m also not a fan of generic action movies either.  If you’re wondering how he keeps getting money to create these abominations you can read up on it in his Wikipedia article here.

The story seems to have stayed somewhat intact, but the action scenes look cheap, the humour is unnecessary/bad/cliche and I don’t like Til Schweiger.
The trailer didn’t give me the Far Cry feel, too many characters.

Yeah, I was surprised how similar the story was.  But it looks like some kind of cheesy TV special, not a big budget release.

Actually, it kind of reminded me of “Thunder in Paradise” with Hulk Hogan

Holy shit!  I used to watch that show all the time!  Did you guys get that in Germany?!

I just remember seeing some re-runs of that show in the mid-late 90s.

Most American shows(that have been successful enough) are released dubbed in German over here.
I’d have to say over 50% of the movies/tv series appearing on German TV are American produce.

Mediocre looking as everyone expected. The main character doesn’t even look or sound like Jack Carver. Uwe Boll needs a new hobby.
